Lifted Learning was founded in 2008 by Dr William Joyce Ph.D. M.Sc.(dist) B.Sc.(hons) Dip. Tchng. as a model to meet the growing interest in the extension education science and mathematics programmes he has offered for the 2007 year. The concept was born out of a vision to bring expertise, knowledge and authentic science and mathematics learning opportunities to young people within and outside of the school day on a regular ongoing basis; and that fundamental principles and concepts would be taught together with relevant stimulating activities.
Young learners must be given access to expert information, allowed to question and above all see the making of mistakes as an essential part of the learning process. Our aim is to develop rational and confident thinkers with a sound understanding of scientific and mathematical principles, concepts and reasoning skills.

In total over 35 years of extensive education experience in Maths & Science where I started my journey in the 1990's Lecturing at the University of Canterbury then in Classroom and out of Classroom Education.
